Salary: £16.00 per hour, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

We specialise in designing, manufacturing, hiring and selling temporary works solutions. At MGF, we manufacture our equipment, operate our own transport fleet and have an in-house engineering team who produce design solutions to meet customers’ requirements.

With 13 depots nationwide and over 450 passionate members of our team, we're expanding. Each team member plays a crucial role in this success, and we need your help as a Welder to continue delivering exceptional results.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Welding and manufacturing of all types of MGF Shoring Equipment from instructions and the reading of engineering drawings
  • Performing high quality repairs on heavy duty steel equipment
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times and streamline work processes
  • Observe or monitor objects to determine compliance with prescribed operating or safety standards
  • Visually inspect welding work to determine compliance with standards and current legislation
  • Responsible for cleanliness and housekeeping within your area

To become a Welder at MGF, the core requirements are:

  • Two years welding experience, welding heavy steel including UC, RHS, CHS
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Experience with flame cutting and grinding
  • Use of overhead crane, machines, drills
  • Be flexible and willing to work on a variety of assignments
